Private music discovery. No ads, no tracking.
DeepDives is the music-focused Everplay sibling. Look up an artist, open a release, save what catches your ear, and read short knowledge cards sourced from public music databases and encyclopedia text — then Apple’s on-device models or, if you choose, the same optional Phi model AiMANAC can download. No subscription, no listening data sold, no ad stack.
DeepDives is a native iPhone app with a small on-device engine for speed and privacy. It prefers public music databases and encyclopedia excerpts first, then Apple’s on-device language model, then an optional Phi model you explicitly enable. iCloud keeps your own library in sync across your devices.
Artist page
Cover grid, short knowledge card with sources, and outbound links for merch or streaming.
Release detail
Large artwork, track list, knowledge card, optional credits picker.
Milkcrate
Heart-tap shelf for “listen again later.” Survives force-quit; a gentle banner reminds you when something is still unplayed.
Nautilus
In-app browser with the same chrome as the rest of the app — save from the page, share, or open in Safari.
Knowledge line
Online sources first with a short timeout, then Apple on-device help, then optional Phi when you turn it on.
Art cache
Generous on-disk cache so artwork you have already seen stays snappy on the next launch.
Different App Store identity. DeepDives ships under the
Everplay music brand (tech.everplay.deepdive), separate from the
net.llmtech.* siblings — same family values, different storefront
listing.
Shared pocket with AiMANAC. Both apps opt into the same on-device shared folder so DeepDives can reuse a Phi download AiMANAC already fetched — you skip a second multi-gigabyte grab — and so future hand-offs stay simple.
No shared mail login. DeepDives signs into iCloud on its own and uses a private CloudKit database for your crates and notes.
Works alone. You can buy DeepDives without AiMANAC. If you want Phi, the model downloads inside DeepDives the first time you opt in. Online knowledge still works either way.
- Buy DeepDives on the App Store. Separate App Store listing under Everplay-Tech. Pricing set on that product surface — not bundled with AiMANAC.
- Sign in to iCloud. DeepDives uses its own CloudKit private container. The schema is already deployed to production; your data syncs across your devices on first run.
- (Optional) Install AiMANAC first. If you own AiMANAC, install it before DeepDives and start the Phi-4 download from there. DeepDives will find the model via the shared App Group instead of pulling its own copy.
iCloud + local only. No deepdive-server GHCR package — HELM workflows use App Group exports into AiMANAC when you orchestrate from the base app. Fleet backends: /setup/llm/.
DeepDives doesn't run Phi-4 in its default knowledge route. By default, it asks Apple Foundation Models first and falls back to a rules-based summarizer. If you want Phi-4 in the loop — for offline knowledge cards or to compare quality — turn it on in Models Settings. Most listeners won't need to touch this.
DeepDives is the music sub-brand. Discord is where listeners share grounded card requests, knowledge-base feedback, and the maintainer answers questions about wishlist + in-app browser behaviour.
