01
Protected Copy vs Working Copy
Different Jobs

Two copies, different jobs.

A protected copy stays in Vault on your backend — the signed, guarded original. A working copy lives in Library after checkout — the everyday draft. Keeping them separate is like keeping the museum print in the vault while you sketch on a desk copy.

02
Protected Copy
Safe Source Version

Use a protected copy for material that should stay behind Vault. Read it on demand, review activity, archive it, restore it, or delete it when you're sure.

03
Working Copy
Normal Editing Path

Use a working copy for ordinary editing in Library. The working copy is where you change text, organize files, and build new versions without changing the protected original.
